Welcome to Therapy Tribe

Hi there, and welcome to Therapy Tribe. I am Lauren Vickery, a qualified Gestalt therapist based in Bishops Waltham, Southampton. I offer both long-and short-term psychotherapy for adults and young people (12+). I believe that in order to heal, we need -connection,

“Knowing oneself comes from attending with compassionate curiosity to what is happening within.”

About me

I believe that in order to heal, we need -connection, understanding, and to be heard without judgement. We need someone who believes in us; who genuinely cares. Someone whose hope for us, and our growth, never wavers—a sense of belonging, purpose and value. A tribe.

That’s where Therapy Tribe can help. I incorporate a personalised and tailored approach of therapy, which may include talking/ creative therapies, mindfulness-based practices and somatic (body-based) therapies. Alongside my private practice, I coninue to work with professional athletes; this includes offering my services to players involved in organisations such as Professional Football and Cricket.

I have a background of many years working within the community, with both adults and adolescents, in areas such as; Trauma/Abuse/PTSD, eating disorders, young people, neurodiversity, depression, anxiety, LGTBQ, addictions, self-esteem and relationship challenges.

I know personally what it’s like to feel stuck and lost in life – to feel trapped in your own mind. I also know what it feels like to come through that, given the right support and understanding. Therapy Tribe is a therapy service focused on supporting you in a tailored and personalised way, which helps you rediscover and reconnect with who you are – helping you to break free of what holds you back.

“A tribe is a group of people connected to one another, and connected to an idea. For millions of years, human beings have been part of one tribe or another. A group needs only two things to be a tribe: a shared interest and a way to communicate.”

How can Therapy Tribe help?

Therapy Tribe provides a safe, non-judgmental, friendly, and confidential space for you to be heard and supported. I believe that you’re the expert when it comes to you- it’s my job to facilitate your empowerment and help you navigate your path. I will tailor the style and pace of sessions to you, ensuring that your well-being is paramount in our work together.

Lauren is truly exceptional. Words can hardly capture the strength she has helped me uncover in myself. Through some of the most difficult periods of my life-navigating complex grief after suicide and trauma, struggling with anxiety, depression, and insomnia-Lauren has been a source of unwavering support, care, and compassion. She became my biggest cheerleader at a time when I couldn’t even show up for myself. For that, I am and will always be incredibly grateful. Her thoughtful questions and gentle guidance helped me uncover parts of myself I couldn’t access on my own. Her emotional intelligence and empowering approach are something rare and incredibly special. I can’t recommend her highly enough

I am so happy I found Lauren to begin my therapy journey. After my divorce, I was really struggling and wanted to find a therapist with experience working with queer, neurodivergent folk and was non-judgemental of people who navigate alternative love styles such as polyamory and non-monogamy. From our very first session, Lauren created a safe, open space where I felt truly seen and understood. She is compassionate yet unafraid to ask the difficult questions that push me to explore my motives and thought processes on a deeper level. Her insight, support, and ability to challenge me have been invaluable. I feel more self-aware and empowered in my journey, and I can't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for an affirming and knowledgeable therapist.
